Chance Medical Academy offers Columbus’ premier and reputable EKG workshop program. The EKG program is a comprehensive 4 day course. The course will include important practice and background information on anatomy and physiology of the heart, medical disease processes, medical terminology, medical ethics, legal aspects of patient contact, and electrocardiography and stress testing. Additionally, the students will practice with EKG/ECG equipment and perform hands on labs including introduction to the function and proper use of the EKG machine, normal anatomy of the chest wall for proper lead placement, 12-lead placement and other clinical practices.
Electrocardiograph (EKG) technicians, also known as cardiographic or electrocardiogram technicians, perform diagnostic tests to aid doctors in identifying and treating cardiovascular problems in patients. These tests help detect irregularities that may result in a heart attack or heart disease.
Upon successful completion of the phlebotomy program, graduates will receive an EKG workshop Certificate from Chance Medical Academy. In addition students will be eligible to obtain employment as an EKG technician.

Note: no student can officially enroll until the 50.00 registration fee is paid. This also secures your seat in the class before filling up.
