All courses and certifications are structured through the accredited National Healthcareer Association (NHA) and outline course work and materials given to prepare for the NHA exams.

- Medical Terminology: Students learn the language and vocabulary used in healthcare settings to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Anatomy and Physiology: A solid understanding of the human body and its systems is essential for medical assistants to perform their duties accurately and safely.
- Clinical Procedures: Students are trained in various clinical procedures, such as taking vital signs, performing EKGs, administering injections, assisting with minor surgical procedures, and collecting and processing laboratory specimens.

Medical Assistants perform basic laboratory tests, dispose of contaminated supplies, and sterilize medical instruments. They may have additional responsibilities, such as instructing patients about medication or special diets, preparing patients for x rays, removing stitches, drawing blood, or changing dressings.
Upon successful completion of the Medical Assistant program, graduates will receive a Certificate of Completion from Chance Medical Academy. Students will also be eligible to take the National Healthcareer Association’s (NHA) Certified Phlebotomist (CPT) certification, and the Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) exam. All exams will be administered by Chance at the main campus to prevent students from traveling to remote locations.
Also after successful completion of the program you will be offered additional assistance on Job placement, resume editing, and other assistance as needed! All of our staff are great references to use when job searching so contact the office to get further details.
